A breakthrough in sound control technology, Acousti-Mat® II is the cost-effective solution to "noise" complaints, even with ceramic and wood floors. Its core of fused entangle filaments, attached to a non-woven fabric, creates a void area between the subfloor and a high-strength Maxxon® underlayment.
The low 1/4" profile of Acousti-Mat II allows a thinner floating floor composite and is a cost-effective choice for both new floors and retrofit where floor height is a concern. It increases IIC and STC levels up to 10 points over wood frame, and IIC up to 20 points over concrete. With Combined IIC and STC levels of over 50 points for total floor ceiling assembly.
